Chief Complaint / Presenting Problem

Irregular heavy vaginal bleeding after menopause, causing significant anxiety about cancer. Ultrasound revealed thickened endometrium with a polyp.

Diagnosis

Endometrial Polyp (2.5 cm), Post-Menopausal Bleeding

Treatment & Procedure

Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy with polypectomy under local anaesthesia. Polyp removed completely and sent for histopathology.

Outcome & Result

Histopathology confirmed benign polyp — no malignancy. Bleeding stopped completely. Follow-up ultrasound at 6 months showed normal endometrium. Patient reassured.
