Gynaecology High-Risk Pregnancy Pre-eclampsia HELLP Caesarean

Chief Complaint / Presenting Problem

Severe headache, blurring of vision, epigastric pain, and swollen legs. Detected to have dangerously elevated BP and deranged liver enzymes.

Diagnosis

Severe Pre-eclampsia with HELLP Syndrome (Haemolysis, Elevated Liver Enzymes, Low Platelets)

Treatment & Procedure

Emergency Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS) at 32 weeks after stabilisation with IV magnesium sulphate and antihypertensives. Baby managed in NICU.

Outcome & Result

Mother's BP and platelet count normalised within 72 hours post-delivery. Baby discharged from NICU at 5 weeks, weight 2.2 kg. Both doing well at follow-up.
