1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DoctorParcha ("the Platform"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

DoctorParcha is a cloud-based clinic and hospital management platform that provides tools for appointment scheduling, patient record management, prescription generation, billing, and related services. The Platform is intended for use by licensed medical professionals, clinics, and hospitals.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Each clinic or hospital must register separately. You may not share accounts across multiple organisations.
• You must be at least 18 years of age to register an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent patient or clinical data.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Platform.
• Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications (spam) to patients or third parties.

5. Medical Disclaimer

DoctorParcha is a practice management tool, not a medical advice service. The Platform does not provide medical diagnoses, treatments, or clinical recommendations. All medical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the licensed healthcare professional using the Platform.

6. Patient Data & Confidentiality

• You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents from your patients before entering their data into the Platform.
• You must comply with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000, and any applicable health data regulations in your jurisdiction.
• DoctorParcha stores patient data on your behalf as a data processor and will not use it for any other purpose.

7. Subscription & Payment

• Some features of the Platform may require a paid subscription. Pricing details are available on the pricing page.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' prior notice.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of DoctorParcha and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required by law. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DoctorParcha shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

At DoctorParcha, your privacy and the privacy of your patients are of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our Platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information:

• Your name, clinic/hospital name, WhatsApp number, and email address provided during registration.
• Login credentials (passwords are stored as secure hashes — never in plain text).

Clinic & Staff Information:

• Doctor profiles, specialisations, schedules, and credentials.
• Staff accounts and roles within your clinic.

Patient Data (entered by you):

• Patient names, contact details, date of birth, gender, and medical history.
• Appointment records, prescriptions, diagnoses, and clinical notes.
• Billing and payment records.

Usage Data:

• Log data such as IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps (for security and analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features.
• To verify your identity and secure your account.
• To send important service notifications, OTPs, and system alerts.
• To generate analytics and reports for your clinic (visible only to you).
• To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
• To send product updates or newsletters (you may opt out at any time).

3. Patient Data — Your Responsibility

Patient health records entered into the Platform belong to you (the clinic). DoctorParcha acts solely as a data processor on your behalf. We do not access, analyse, sell, or share patient data with any third party. You are responsible for ensuring your patients have consented to their data being managed digitally.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data or your patients' data to any third party. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: Trusted vendors who help us operate the Platform (e.g., cloud hosting, SMS/WhatsApp delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may be transferred with prior notice.

5. Data Security

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS encryption).
• Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (bcrypt).
• Access to patient data is restricted to authorised staff of your clinic only.
• We perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Despite our best efforts, no system is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately at support@doctorparcha.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

6. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to maintain your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and clinic data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law. Patient records may be retained for longer periods in accordance with applicable medical record-keeping regulations.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Export your clinic and patient data in a portable format.
• Opt out of non-essential communications.

9. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. Patient records of minors may be managed by their legal guardians through the Platform.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
