Gynaecology Endometriosis Laparoscopy Infertility Pelvic Pain

Chief Complaint / Presenting Problem

Crippling menstrual pain, painful intercourse, painful bowel movements, and 3 years of infertility. Chocolate cysts on both ovaries.

Diagnosis

Stage IV Endometriosis, Bilateral Endometriomas (6 cm right, 4 cm left), Frozen Pelvis

Treatment & Procedure

Advanced laparoscopic excision of endometriotic lesions, bilateral cystectomy, uterosacral nerve ablation, adhesiolysis. Bowel shaving for superficial rectal endometriosis.

Outcome & Result

Pain VAS improved from 9/10 to 1/10. Conceived naturally 10 months after surgery. Currently 28 weeks pregnant.
