Chief Complaint / Presenting Problem

Bilateral nasal blockage, facial pain, loss of smell, and thick yellow discharge for over 5 years. Failed multiple courses of antibiotics and nasal sprays.

Diagnosis

Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyposis (CRS-NP), DNS

Treatment & Procedure

Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) performed under general anaesthesia. Bilateral polypectomy, middle meatal antrostomy, ethmoidectomy. Septoplasty done simultaneously to correct the DNS.

Outcome & Result

Complete resolution of nasal obstruction within 4 weeks. Smell returned to normal by 8 weeks. No recurrence at 12-month follow-up. Patient off all medications.
