Sudden severe pain in lower right abdomen since morning, fever, nausea, and vomiting. Tenderness at McBurney's point on examination.
Diagnosis
Acute Appendicitis (non-perforated), Alvarado Score 9
Treatment & Procedure
Emergency laparoscopic appendicectomy under general anaesthesia. Three-port technique. Inflamed appendix removed without spillage. Procedure completed in 25 minutes.
Outcome & Result
Pain-free by next morning. Tolerating oral fluids at 6 hours. Discharged at 22 hours post-surgery. Back to college in 5 days. No complications.
